Two more completed in July!

1. Go back to Fiji
Done!

4. Bet back to PCFL
That's pre children fitness level. I'm not that concerned about weight, but I do want to get fit again
Update: I joined a gym and have been going 3-4 times per week except for when we were on holidays

5. Write

For a few years I have been writing and running reading challenges which are a good creative outlet for me and this year I got into the blogging webiverse.
Update: continuing with blogs and also did a guest blog post!

8. Eat something new
In Fiji I had a dish at the restaurant that included a Fijian sweet potato. I can't remember the name of it, but it was white and kind of the texture of parsnip.

13. Swim freestyle for a kilometre without stopping

This scares me because it is a BIG goal. I could be a wuss and say 500m, but I have never done 1km, let alone close to it, so I'm going to put it here to stretch myself
Update: Poor month for it with being away, but getting there

22. Only wear active wear when actually active (haha!!)
So this is a bit of a joke aimed at those of my gender and vintage, but seriously people...
Update: Ongoing and I have kept to this :)

Update: I started to learn about "Total Immersion Swiming" online and have now bought the book. Early days, but the results are pretty amazing

16. Find a recipe for, and cook, a traditional Moldovian cake
Since Epic Sax guy graced our Eurovision screens in 2010, I've loved the crazy Moldovian style
Update: Lear found a recipe for me! Now I need to cook it :o

22. Only wear active wear when actually active (haha!!)

27. Read a book that is popular, but I don't want to read
Update: Done! I read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I wasn't really impressed. Review is here

I'm not even middle aged!

So according to the ABS, the average life expectancy of a female in Australia is 84.4 years.

That means I have another 2 years and 2.4 months until I am officially middle aged.

So many people are doing the "40 things before you're 40" lists which are awesome, but seeing that over the last year I was mostly pregnant or with a newborn it wasn't exactly realistic.

Therefore I am bucking the trend and doing a "40 things now I'm 40!" to be done before I am officially middle-aged. Or, specifically, by 12 August, 2018.

This is still a list in the making, because, hey, I have time. Here are the first seven.

1. Go back to Fiji.
(Got this covered in 6 weeks. Boom!)

2. Get my hair coloured.
So I haven't coloured my hair since I was a young adult, but those greys are starting to come through. I figure at some point over the next two years I will need to start having my hair coloured :(

3.Use skincare regularly.
I am so so so bad about skincare, but it really is time for me to start a regime. I have my eye on Rodan + Fields which is meant to be able to fix up my annoying melasma too. I shall give it a go later this year.

4. Bet back to PCFL.
That's pre children fitness level. I'm not that concerned about weight, but I do want to get fit again

5. Write.
For a few years I have been writing and running reading challenges which are a good creative outlet for me and this year I got into the blogging webiverse.

6. Get back into veggie gardening.
This relies on my wrist improving which hopefully will be soon. Goodness gracious please let it be soon.

7. Take better control of our finances.
I've started this, but it needs to be a focus. The reality is that I've now worked for longer than I would like to keep working. That means I need to be more aware of what we are doing and using our money in smarter ways.

---The list has now updated to 33! The list is here--
